You know what to do! Thank you so much for your efforts and contributions thus far. All notes sound squeaky and also several octaves too high (regardless of using MuseSounds or MS Basic as the soundfont, also regardless of the instrument selected). The stable version of Muse Hub has now been updated with the latest version of musesampler, so there is technically no longer a need to use the Hub beta when testing MuseScore 4.1. After installing the update to 4.1.1 (Musescore reports version 4.71203), score playback behaves strangely. The release candidate has been built in stable mode, which means it will replace any existing version of MuseScore 4 you have on your computer. Please give this a solid test over the coming days so we can be sure there are no unexpected surprises lurking in the shadows. We are targeting a release date of Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Please download builds for your respective operating systems here: Also see the dark theme and other color / accessibility settings in that same dialog. We are pleased to announce the MuseScore 4.1 release candidate! MuseScore 4 makes this very simple, as part of its improved accessibility - just click the "Invert score" button in Edit / Preferences / Appearance. Or press Esc if you accidentally select a range. Just know, select a note or rest - or anything other than a full range - to hear the full score. For long-time MuseScore users, it can take a little getting used to. Soloing just selected tracks is pretty common across most audio software, so its something familiar to most people coming to MuseScore from other programs. The rarely-used pan button is now under the settings cog on the playback toolbar. If you know of any unique qualities of your system that might explain why it is different on your system than most others - unusual display or drive configuration, etc - that could prove useful.Īside from that, are you saying something else seems unusually slow? So far it hasn't been reproduced on any development machine, so it's province difficult to understand.
